The City of Pula is procuring two mobile stations for monitoring air quality. They will be located in an interesting place
The project envisages the installation of video equipment at busy intersections in the city center, the purchase of devices for monitoring environmental parameters that will be installed on public transport buses, the construction of a data space and two applications
The City of Pula will announce a public procurement for equipment for mobile air quality monitoring. The equipment consists of two mobile measuring stations for informative monitoring of basic air quality parameters using Pulapromet’s public transport.
The estimated value of the procurement is EUR 26,500 without VAT, and the funds for the realization of the procurement are provided in the City Budget for this year.
Cameras at intersections
The project envisages the installation of video equipment at busy intersections in the city center, the purchase of devices for monitoring environmental parameters that will be installed on public transport buses, the construction of a data space and two applications based on data space. One application will be used for traffic monitoring and predictive analytics, while the other will monitor environmental parameters in certain micro-locations.
The second part of the project includes data space management in both applications planned for implementation in Kranj and Pula.
The total value of the project is 3,000,000 euros (of which the funds for the City of Pula amount to 347,750 euros), and the EU co-financing rate is 50 percent, or almost 174 thousand euros.
The project holder is the Municipality of Kranj (Slovenia), and the project partners are the City of Pula, the Municipality of Kranj, Rico, 3FS.
The objectives of the project are aimed at:
- Reduction of CO₂ emissions by 10-25 percent
- Reduction of traffic jams by up to 30 percent
- Increase in resource productivity by 15-25 percent
- Incorporating data into decision-making for urban planning and
- Fostering fair and sustainable urban development.
